Jo-Jo Baby
Jojo's lively demeanor, colorful appearance and eye-catching art
make him one of Chicago's most visual and visible personalities. While
refining his illustrious personality in Chicago nightclubs, Jojo
developed a unique style sense that led to greater exposure. He has
coifed artists from Judas Priest to Guns 'n' Roses and acted as Dennis
Rodman's personal stylist. But his vision extends beyond the human
canvas. Hailing from the Greer Lankton (of Warhol Factory and Jim
Henson Productions) school of doll making, Jojo creates intricately
crafted dolls that humor some, startle others and amaze all. His dolls
have been displayed at Around the Coyote art festival in Wicker Park.
The artist's style and unique skill have been covered by
publications including the National Enquirer and People magazine. He
has also appeared on television programs, including Jenny Jones and Jerry Springer.

Jade Barbee (Contributing Producer) with Alexandra Carron
Back when he was teaching summer camp, one of Jadešs 11 year old students exclaimed "You're the
most expressive person I've ever met!" The kid may have been on to what many in New York have been
suspecting for some time - Jade Barbee has a unique point of view and an exuberant way of sharing
it. His gender performances have been featured in San Franciscošs Bay Times, on the cover of Mondo
2000 and on film for Directors Phillip R. Ford and Gus Van Sant. His songwriting and music
production credits range from collaborative efforts with local artists Tina Benet and Hedda
Lettuce to a solo CD project that made the NY Press top 10 in 1999. ARCADIA is Jade's first
showing of his pen, ink and digital drawings.

delightful work graces numerous restaurants and bars in France as well

Heidi Calvert (Bluegirl)
Heidi's latent talents in erotic photography were awakened when
a friend asked if she'd mind taking some naughty pictures of her. While
she'd done fashion and editorial work with women before, this was a new
experience for Heidi. There had always been a subtle sensuality evident
in her style, but this particular shoot awakened a completely new way of
approaching her art and she found it liberating-it made her feel more
erotic and freely expressive with her sexuality. With much encouragement
and inspiration from friends, Heidi kept experimenting with erotica and
she's still loving it. Published in a number of magazines including New
York City's Night and Time Out, and with upcoming shows featuring her
work on both coasts, Bluegirl, Heidi Calvert is definitely carving out a
bright future for herself in the international photography scene.

Curtis Carmen
Most recently, Curtis Carmen has been constructing sculptural works
that dissolve fixed notions of gender: His focus is on transgender
subject matter. Curtis's oeuvre illustrates the world's tendency to
operate in a non-binary fashion-it offers choices, providing the viewer
with an array of inferences. In the past, Curtis documented the infamous
drag chic party, Cheez Whiz, and nineties hotspot Jackie 60. His artwork has been
collected by MC Flawless Sabrina and he is currently enrolled in the MFA
degree program at NY's Hunter College.

Velocity Chyaldd
Velocity Chyaldd, lead singer and songwriter for Vulgaras, is no
stranger to scandal. Born into a stereotypical talk show nightmare, she
escaped the horror by inventing and isolating herself in an imaginary
world. Years of vocal, dance and theatrical training provided her with
the necessary tools for survival in NYC's underground club scene. While
playing with knives, Barbie dolls and dildos, Velocity shares her
nightmare with the audience. Her raw, soulful voice oozes a child-like
violence. Vulgaras was built as a medium through which she could act out
her provocative, political tantrums. Her musical influences include
Janis Joplin, Billie Holiday, Tori Amos and Patti Smith, while Satanic
theory, the philosophy of Robert Anton Wilson and the power of children
equally guide her.
